Christina Thornell is Brooklyn-based producer and video journalist. She currently produces videos for Vox.com and has produced episodes of Netflix’s show Explained and Emmy-nominated series Borders. She recently won a Webby award for her video Hong Kong’s huge protests, explained.

She holds an M.A. from CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism where she specialized in video production and international reporting. She also holds a B.A. in journalism from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain. She is a dual citizen of the United States and Spain and fluent in Spanish.
